Steve, Megan, Scott and I completed the LA Marathon....Bike Ride yesterday. This was great fun riding throught the streets of LA as the sun is coming up with no cars anywhere. The ride starts at 5:45 am so as to be completed long before the real marathoners come through. It really was a fun way to see a different part of LA....some parts you would not otherwise want to see....but what the heck with the 4 of us accompanied by about 20,000 others on bikes....

Wow, the sun is just coming up at the 22 mile mark. Nice to see that the organizers avoided South Central. You got to cross the LA River at the 6th street bridge. It was made famous for its architecture and scenes from "The Terminator". What a cool ride.
That's a little bit deceiving...The bike start was around mile 14 of the marathon and followed the course to the finish line (almost, they turned us just before) then we picked up the course again at about mile 6ish to the bike end at about mile 14. The ride was only 21 miles and we didn't get the nicest part from Universal studios down to about mile 6. Here is the link to the course: http://www.acuralabiketour.com/
