Most Outstanding Graduate Student

Last night I was the guest of this very bright lady who was honored as the Outstanding Student Counseling Psychology for the Masters Program at CSUB. She also is part of the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society. They said some very impressive and nice things about her. She will not be happy with me bragging about her so I won't disclose her name...... This is an anonymous post....right....

A man and his dog

We put up a fence this week... just add it to the bill. Okay, "we" didn't build it but it was put up. All it took was a puppy.

Dr. Karla

I realize the thought of USC may offend some on this site (Go Northern Alabama); however, last Sunday Karla officially became Dr. Karla at a very impressive graduation ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium on the SC campus. Since she would be upset we won't mention her many honors and distinctions..... Karla's parents hosted a very nice dinner afterwards. In the pictures you will notice that Karla also presented an official degree to Steve....PWT..."put wife through". I think most of you know Karla and Steve are staying in LA and Karla will be doing her ENT residency at USC as well. As with others I wish I knew how to make the pictures into a slide show, but I don't so you have a line of pictures.....enjoy.

Coachella I am HERE

So I know this is a little late but better late than never..So it was really fun even though the lineup last year was way better. We got backstage passes to all the stages except the main one. Which was fine with us.
Photobucket
Slightly Stoopid, love them! And love my zoom on my camera!
Photobucket
Photobucket
This was Goldfrapp which my friend Amanda made me go see and she's awesome. Its definitely a different kind of music but really fun because we were on the side of the stage.
Photobucket
Hahaha these people werent! Suckas!
Photobucket
So these are awesome. They are like wii drums. We actually know this band dreg (locals from Los Gatos sounds hard core but the name is missleading) so we have gotten to play with the wii like drums before.. ummm pretty ridiculous.
Photobucket
Random art stuff. Semi's? Really???
Photobucket Sienna Miller
We finally got to see where all the celebraties hang out in the back. We saw lots of people: Pink, Sienna Miller, Kelly Osbourne, David "dont hassle the hoff", Brett Bolthouse, the guy from Texas chainsaw massacre that was going to be engaged to Jessica Biel. RANDOMS. Oh and flying pig was awesome too! Sorry, still need to learn how to create a slideshow instead!!

East coast

It was nice and chilly back in New Hampshire but Sunday the sun was out and we enjoyed a great day at Camp Who Gives a Crap- aka the in-laws house.

Saturday we had a great birthday party for Lilly who is now 3! Look closely at the darker picture- we taught Lily how to do the rocker/KISS face and hands...

Freddie Schneider/Young

So I just wanted to let everyone meet the newest family member, now he may not be as cute as a mini anything but he is pretty darn sweet. Creed and I get to pick up Freddie next week after he has been neutered so we are very excited to welcome this wonderful puppy into the Schneider and Young families!

Light A Candle :: Help Make a Difference

Hi Family.

So I'm in the middle (well more towards the end now!) of finals. Which basically means I'll probably be checking this blog along with numerous other online sites trying to avoid the inevitable work.

I normally don't like to forward mass emails and that sort of thing, but this one really affected me. Its a really interesting site and is bringing so much awareness about. It only takes a moment to check it out! So here it is...

The innocent victims of Internet child abuse cannot speak for themselves.

But you can.

With your help, we can eradicate this evil trade.

We do not need your money.

We need you to light a candle of support <http://www.lightamillioncandles.com>.

The more candles we light, the more powerful our voice becomes.

This petition will be used to encourage governments, politicians, financial institutions, payment organisations, Internet service providers, technology companies and law enforcement agencies to eradicate the commercial viability of online child abuse.

They have the power to work together. You have the power to get them to take action.

Please light your candle at lightamillioncandles.com <http://www.lightamillioncandles.com> or send an email of support to light@lightamillioncandles.com.

Together, we can destroy the commercial viability of Internet child abuse sites that are destroying the lives of innocent children.

Kindly forward this email to your friends, relatives and work colleagues so that they can light a candle too.

Steve and Karla

Hi all. We are currently in Buenos Aires. The trip has been awesome. Hopefully this comes through because all the commands are in Espanol. The link below is to our pics from the first 11 days (including our time with the Chilean Schneiders). Karla and I are already planning to go back, but this time for a week just with mike and lizzanne. We loved La Serena. We are hoping to get a group to go with us. We can talk about this later.

After la serena we headed down the coast to Valparaiso for a night and then on to Santa Cruz, which is an incredible wine region. We then hoppd a plane to southern chile in the lake district. Crossed the Andes by boat and bus into argentina to a town called Bariloche. Bariloche is a mountain resort that looks like a little German village with tons of chocolate shops. Went horse back riding with this very nice family and have been eating lots of Argentina´s famous grillled meats. Just arrived in Buenos Aries and we are planning to go to a tango show.

Mike turns 102

Hi all. Have not been on for awhile...things have been a bit crazy. I thought I would let you know I turned 102 yesterday...Oh miles not years...yet... I rode the Delta Century on Sunday. We started at Jessies Grove WInery in Lodi and toured the vineyards and Delta roads between Lodi and West Sac. As a relatively new rider this was a total wild hair but I survived. It was a beautiful ride although the wind was a bit menacing. 102 miles with 7 hours and 20 minutes time in the saddle...It's a RIDE not a race....ok... Anyone want to join me on the next one.... The top picture is about 80 miles in on a ferry crossing the river...still smiling...The last picture is at the finish...still smiling...kinda....From that picture it is obvious why we are the Old Fat Guys club...Take care, gotta run Mike

Working at Baif

They work you like a dog at BAIF, but I came home and made them crazy CHEWING. I chew everything in sight, run incredibly fast when escaping and can climb over (Yes CLIMB OVER) dog fences that held in Dalmatians - weenies.

Music website

I have found a new love in my life...

I figured I would be like Tom and tell you about this AMAZING site...if you haven't heard of it already.

Pandora.com

It's a free music radio station online that if you put in a band/singer it will create a playlist w/ similar sounding music & no interruptions!

Look what followed me home!

I went for a walk with Lily and look who we found!

Little guy only stayed for a night before a wildlife gal came and picked him up to visit some other ducks.

But isn't karma a bitch- the very next morning I hit a bird on my way to work and POOF a big ball of feathers was all that was left- just like in Shrek when the bird explodes... funny but sick.
