Gingerbread Houses 2013

I am so slow in posting things anymore….. I am trying to do some catch up here. Christmas came and went but I really have to show the Gingerbread Houses the crew created this year. The houses were exceptional. It is a whole new game though with three wee ones in the house while trying to decorate.

 A very creative group. The hardest part is tossing them when Christmas is over :-(

Jammie Day

There is nothing like a good old jammie day! When your mom has surgery on her hand and little brother has a cold why not suggest a jammie day. That is exactly what Wyatt did on Monday. Jessica had a cyst removed from her hand so I went down to help out if I could. The surgery went well and Jessica was told not to lift anything over 10lbs (so much for a baby!). Both boys ended up sick on Sunday…fevers and sniffles. Cody was cutting teeth (finally) and running a fever. Monday their cabinets were suppose to be painted too. Nothing like the perfect storm. Well the cabinets got put off, Jessica went to work and Wyatt, Cody and I had a jammie day.  When Wyatt suggested it, I did not realize that I must stick to the jammie rule also. Wyatt instantly squashed my getting dressed and I must say it made for a lovely day. Trains, playdoh, pirates and a little outside biking in your jammies is a perfect antidote for what ails you.

Potato Pool: Get your guesses in QUICKLY!

Maddy reminded me yesterday that I needed to have everyone guess the date and weight of her brother. She also reminded me that she was the big winner of guessing both Ava's date (which was way later than Karla wanted) and the weight (which was way bigger than Karla had hoped). :) I think she is hoping for another big win.

To put everyone on an even playing field, here is an update from my eventful pregnancy. On December 26, I went into labor at 34 weeks. The doctors were able to stop the contractions, thankfully! At that point I was 1.5 CM dilated and 50% effaced. I have continued to have contractions since then. I saw my doctor on Tuesday and am still 1.5 CM dilated but now 90% effaced. She has predicted that the baby will be born within the next 1 to 3 weeks and is assuming my water will break because of how much I have effaced. I will be at 36 weeks on Friday 1/10 and my due date is February 7.

There will be a prize for the winner of the weight and the winner of the date.
