What's your pain level?

Here's a photo of Jennifer mere moments before having a plate and seven screws surgically implanted in her left arm. The sign tries to help you communicate your pain levels to the doctors. There were separate pain levels in english, spanish and Hmong, but it was clear in any language that Jamo and Trish were the pain!!!

I am Jennifer Whiting and I did not approve this message.

Keaton "The Hoff" Smith

Last week Keaton completed 3 weeks of Junior Lifeguards. His typical day at JG's was 6 hours of running, swimming, boogey boarding and hanging with his friends. On the final day they completed a race called "The Vitamin" The vitamin combines running, swimming, and paddle boarding. Keaton finished 5th out of 30 boys and girls.

Bummer

Looks like Jenn will have surgery on Thursday. The break was close to the joint at the wrist. The Doctor thinks it will heal better if she has surgery.
Looks like Jamison will get a lot more practice making ponytails!
Big hug and kisses Jennifer.

The Woe (Whiting) Family

While Jamison got bit by a black widow Jenn decided she could do better. Jenn got bucked off a horse on Tuesday. While walking, (without a helmet on) the horse got spooked and reared. "High Ho and Away" type of rearing. Dumping Jenn on her tush but not before snapping her radius bone just above her wrist. Luckily Jenn had jeans on and her cell phone in her pocket. Jenn was able to call the owner of the barn for help. Jenn then got up and went to get the horse....hey wait you say "her arm is broken"....Jenn pulled up the end of her t-shirt put it in her teeth creating her own sling and was then able to corral the horse. Woman of Steel.
Jamison got word at school and dashed to the barn. The ambulance arrived and took Jenn to Fresno Community....they have good coverage. Just another day at the Whitings.

Inside the Huddle

What up Ya'll.
I made a book.
I made a website for the book. calinsidethehuddle.com

Here is the shpeel on my book

Going into my senior season, I decided to photo-document the Cal football experience for my friends and family. What was originally meant to be a small side project evolved into a much more significant endeavor after my season ended prematurely when I tore my quadriceps an hour before the opening game.

While I was frustrated with the slow rehabilitation process, I occupied myself by continuing to take pictures. With the help of quarterback Cory Smits, a compatriot on the injured list, I was able to document practice, weight training, team meals, travel, rehab, class, home games, away games, and everything else that a Cal football player experiences.

The photos began to accumulate quickly. These pictures allowed me to see our day-to-day football life in a new way. I was a fan who was able to witness and document all the behind-the-scenes action. Cal fans don't usually get to see what goes on inside the locker room or what happens between game days; they just buy their tickets and observe the product of all that work on Saturdays.

I'm happy to share this collection of photos. Hopefully they will offer insight into the humanity of the coaches, players, and staff, as well as the totality of their commitment to the Cal football program.

If you would like to purchase the book, please visit calinsidethehuddle.com

Along came a spider

Who sat down beside him and bit Jamisons arm... We thought he had the flu the last few days but turns out it was a bite from a black widow and we just didn't notice the big ole bump on his arm... tremors (we thought were chills), body aches, horrible pains and double whammy- he has a sinus infection too!

These were definitely time consuming but very yummy. I would suggest mom that you start with half the frosting and then add as you need- mine were very soft...
