More Time in Bama

Besides going to the games in Alabama we try to visit local sites. This trip we were able to go to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Lots of famous singers and groups have made their way through Muscle Shoals. Then we went to Helen Keller's home. Beautiful southern home. Old Tom's high school friend, Dave Hester joined us for the game. Mike Voelkel and Nathan young Tom's friend also made the trek.It was Homecoming for UNA - so lots of excitement. A good trip and a great game.

Jessica & Jennifer's 30th Birthday

Not sure if anyone is interested but on Friday November 21st we are doing dinner and drinks at the Elbow Room in Fresno. Let Jessica know if you can join! Dinner is at 5:30pm and drinks follow at 7pm (not to say there won't be a few at dinner!)

You have to do this

We had a great night last night with friends coming over for an Iron Chef night- our secret ingredient was "orange vegetables". The variety was amazing and all the food was so good. We played a new version of Pictionary- Pictionary Man, you had to draw on this little man shaped thing and it was a hoot, if not a little risque :)

West Point and the Wedding...

See...we really did go back for the wedding. West Point is a beautiful campus right on the Hudson river. This was really a great trip.

Vermont

Vermont means covered bridges..... By the way the white house taken through the window frame was Norman Rockwell's the 2 small red studios are behind the house. Many of the characters in his artwork were neighbors in this area. It was really beautiful.

Maine

Maine...Light houses and lobsters...It doesn't get much better

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is an amazing site. The shots taken of the falls from above are from our room on the 41st floor. The mist coming up from the falls is amazing. It looks like it is raining on the streets. The Canadian falls "horseshoe falls are much more impressive than the American Falls (the straight one). COmbined they are an amazing site. The Canadian side is like a mini Las Vegas built right into all of the nature beauty....You really appreciate our National Park system....Otherwise we would probably have a 50 story casino in front of Yosemite Falls. By the way, the cute ones in the yellow slickers are Linda and Diana...just in case you couldn't figure it out.

OCC New York....Close to West point but a world away...

This was really a highlight of the trip. The detail in the bikes was unbelievable. These boys know how to market...yes I am enjoying my new shirts...and Linda's hat....

New Hampshire Enjoy the colors

New Hampshire. The colors were great. The ski museum shot was a bit painful in that the only 3 pairs of skis I owned are all in there.....

Hermosa Beach Photos

For Meg's graduation, Mike and Linda gave her... well us :) a night on the beach. Check out the photos.

Unfortunately, the weekend we chose (before knowing) was the engagement party. Sorry we missed it, but it looks like it was a good time and Jamo has they eyebrow lift down pat.

Picasa Slideshows

Sure thing Mike, they have updated Picasa in the last couple of months and moved things around.

1. Open your Picasa web albums online and make sure you are logged in. http://picasaweb.google.com/SkySkiDad
2. Open desired album
3. On right margin, click on "Link to this album >"
4. Click on "Embed Slideshow"
5. Choose desired size, I usually select large
6. Copy CODE in yellow box and then paste into blog post.
7. DONE :)

Help me....Technologically challenged....

My apologies to all for my failed attempts to post slide shows of pictures. If one of you less technologically challenged folks can explaint to me how I link the Picassa web alblums it would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks, Mike

Abe has it right!!

I thought this was an appropriate quote in these trying times....

QUOTE OF THE MONTH
"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be
depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to
bring them the real facts, and beer."

Molly In India

Hello. As some of you may know, Molly is in India right now working for Google.
It is a really cool deal where she lives in the google's embassy, has a cook, driver, laundry doer, and etc.
Here is her blog from India.

I need to figure a way to get out and visit her before she comes back. (thankfully she'll be back in the states by January)

Milking Goats

Today I got to milk goats in the "Media Goat Milking" contest at the Big Fresno Fair. So funny and my partner was terrified of goats! It was fun and I even got milk on my first goat milking experience ever!
