Creed in Bakersfield????
Fresno Fruit Trail
A succulent golden peach, dripping juice as you bite into its downy flesh. Sun-warmed, plump blueberries, ready to be plucked from the bush. Bright oranges, peeping out from behind broad green leaves, each one a perfect globe of luscious citrus. If you've got a sweet tooth for fructus, then the Fresno Fruit Trail is for you. Located smack in the center of California, America's fruit basket, East Fresno County is an agricultural wonderland. The trail offers a self-guided tour to dozens of farms and markets, all offering the freshest possible fruit and fruit creations. Tour the farms. Pet the farm animals. Pick your own blackberries – or buy a quart ready to eat. Take home fruit products from homemade jam to Sun-Maid raisins, baked goods to scented soaps. If you're looking for a bird's eye view of the lovely patchwork of crops, you can even hire a hot-air balloon for a ride.California's spectacular weather makes for a long growing season, and the Fresno Fruit Trail is a gorgeous destination from spring, when the trees are painted with blossoms, through the harvests of summer and fall. Visit once, and you may be tempted to return in a month for another trip, with a whole new selection of produce perfectly ripened and ready to taste. Go ahead, eat a peach.
This is crazy!
This is what I try and do with my horse Nicki but I don't think Lily would listen this well :)

Spring Blooms
Easter Weekend Hike

Saturday Tom and I decided we would take a little hike at the Lafayette Reservoir. It was a beautiful day. Wildflowers are starting to bloom with the temperature in the 70's. We decided to try the Rim Trail. 6 miles and 5 major hill climbs later we finished. What a beautiful hike this time of year. From the hill tops we could see Moraga, Orinda and Lafayette - actually I think we set foot in each city as the trail circles the reservoir. The hills are all soft and green looking...hard to believe you haven't left the city.
Happy Easter
Missed you all but glad to not be in a car driving!

Brain Exercises for the Weekend
Harriet Vines, Ph.D., an experienced author and retired college professor, sends us a few fun brain exercises to train our attention and working memory (the ability to keep information current for a short period while using this information). Given them a try! They are not as easy as they may sound...
1. Say the days of the week backwards, then in alphabetical order.
2. Say the months of the year in alphabetical order. Easy? well, why don't you try doing so backwards, in reverse alphabetical order.
3. Find the sum of your date of birth, mm/dd/yyyy. Want more exercise? Do the same with friends' and relatives' date of birth.
4. Name two objects for every letter in your complete name. Work up to five objects, trying to use different items each time.
5. Wherever you are, look around and within two minutes, try to find 5 red things that will fit in your pocket, and 5 blue objects that are too big to fit.

snow weekend

We went to Tahoe March 1st for the weekend - when we use to be healthy.Had a great time. There was so much snow. This first picture is out the condo where we were able to take the snow pile down two feet and build an actual igloo. The weather was beautiful - sunny blue sky's. We sledded for hours. The snow was perfect for building snowmen. This is a picture of Frank before his owner did a little too much fixing and he lost his head. The amazing part was that there was so few people up there to enjoy it. So glad that we did.

Weekend Adventures
Check out Mint.com
Thought I would share a cool, safe, and free website to help organize the way we spend our money. Very easy to set up, no reason not to try it out.

3Day Walk
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am walking the San Francisco 3day! I love the weather in San Diego but do not want to be walking 20 miles on my 30th birthday.
Hope you all will join me for great views, nice weather and a good walk up some hills :)
Anyone out there?
So I am going to share some of my random thoughts and questions...
If asparagus can turn your pee green and stinky- what could make it smell nicer? Strawberries? Fruits? What are your thoughts?
Also- went riding this morning and was admiring the sunrise and would like to see your best sunrise photo- post it by end of next week so we can all enjoy since with the time change it will be way too early to get up for the sunrise :)
Don't forget to change your clocks!

50th Birthday Bash

Just a big thank you to Jessica, Jennifer, Jamie, Jamison and Thomas for a great birthday day of games. By 11:00 we were at the bowling alley knocking down some pins. Girls beat the guys in the first round. Guys made a come back the second (or did we let them?). Then home to Brainiac, dominoes, balderdash, etc.
How about a summer game day? Open to everyone....bocce, corn toss and other challenging games :) Start practicing.

O'Dell/Holmes do LA Marathon
Steve, Megan, Scott and I completed the LA Marathon....Bike Ride yesterday. This was great fun riding throught the streets of LA as the sun is coming up with no cars anywhere. The ride starts at 5:45 am so as to be completed long before the real marathoners come through. It really was a fun way to see a different part of LA....some parts you would not otherwise want to see....but what the heck with the 4 of us accompanied by about 20,000 others on bikes....
