We got to go to Tahoe for a snow weekend this past weekend. Forecasters predicted a huge storm. Instead we got a winter wonderland. Jessica & Creed, Jamie & Shawn, Molly and Thomas all made the trip up. We had great plans for snow shoeing and ice skating - didn't quite happen. Thomas went snowboarding. Molly went cross country skiing. They also tried snow shoeing. Creed, Shawn and Jamie went pub crawling through Squaw Valley. We played Apples to Apples and real live Scrabble. Jamie, Shawn and I attempted to finish a puzzle (hopefully the next person up will help). Bear learned to wave and snap at snow flakes. Thanks Grammy Schneider for letting us use Tahoe! We really appreciated the get away.

Just to say we are fine and all our contacts in the south where the quake hit are okay but one employee's parents lost their home and are camping on the patio, so he is off to retrieve them but the roads are so bad in some places it will be hard to get to them. The insane thing has been lack of communication as all systems were down especially on those beaches were the tsunami waves hit. He just found out yesterday about his folks.
