This past saturday night was the engagement party for Jamie and Shawn. What a fun evening it was too.
To start the weather was beautiful - no fog or breeze, just warm. The company was spectacular. We had 28 O'Keefe/ Hanigars and 22 Schneider/Smiths. The tables were beautifully decorated (thank you Diana). The food delicious. Kim put together an exact duplicate of Chop Bar Burgers (the burger joint that is next to Jamie & Shawn's). John barbecued. There was macaroni & cheese along with a caprese salad. Dessert was Kim's now infamous S'mores. Jamo tried to bring some of the s'mores to Jenn but he dropped them and they became less' mores.
Tom pretty much politely demanded that everyone say something about Jamie and Shawn. There were so many sweet moments. Some very funny stories. The two are very loved. Those of you that dashed and hid, remember Tom knows who you are and there is still a wedding to come!
We missed you all that could not make it and hope to see you September 22 for Jamie & Shawn's Wedding! Have your dancing shoes on and be well rested cause this group is ready for a party!! When the party ended Shawn's family just moved it on to the Warehouse in Oakland to celebrate his favorite (one of many) Aunt's birthday when the clock struck midnight!

Looks like a great party and sorry we missed it. We were thinking of all of you in Yosemite and after seeing Jamo on Monday we know he had a good time :)
