Virginia

Tom and Jamie had a conference in Roanoke, Virginia last week. Grammy Smith needed a trip to West Virginia. We all boarded planes and headed east. I went with Grammy to the beautiful hills of West Virginia. Tom, Jamie and Ed (salesman) made a stop in Chicago and then on to Virginia. I spent two days in a small town outside Princeton and then met up with Tom & Jamie under the towering stadium of Virginia Tech - we were going to meet at the bookstore but with school in session (30,000 students) and 125 buildings it was easier to find the stadium. We then played tourist in Virginia for a day before flying home. First stop was the D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia. It was built in Bedford because this community comprised 1 of every 10 casualties on D-Day and there were over 2,200 Americans lost.

Looks like an incredible place to visit and to remember the fallen!
