Cactus Bowl

We are back from our trip to Texas. Thomas played in the All-Star Div II Cactus Bowl. Thomas had a good game, made four out of five field goals and scored 13 of the 26 points for the East. His kickoffs were great - even into the head wind he put it on the 5. The game was played at Texas A&M Kingsville, a division II football school. The weather was clear and warm but like I said the winds were whipping. Cheerleaders were provided by a lot of Texas High Schools and even a group of 6 & unders cheered. The half time parade was Shriners on minature cars wearing funny hats.
Quite a production the Shriners put on for the game. Free beer, free food and live music. Tom made sure the Border Patrolmen there knew about Grandpa having been one of their own. All proceeds from the game go to the Shriners to be able to help kids like our own Ian! We were more then happy to contribute with a little extra donation.
