Superior Dairy = Superior Fun

We had a baby shower for Jenn this past weekend and my mom came into town to help us celebrate Baby Walter's imminent arrival (that's not for sure his name but we all like it ha ha). So on Sunday we decided to have an adventure and take Amtrak to Hanford to have some delicious Superior Dairy ice cream.

Wyatt was very excited to get to ride on a train for the first time, that is until the train actually arrived. He just about clawed his way up Grammy's side he was so scared by the giant and very loud train! It took a lot of coercing to get him on (Ok so maybe not, Grammy just held him and got on so he didn't have much of a choice but the whole time he begged her to not get on, not to go. It was a little sad to hear!) Once we were on and started moving he soon calmed down and was very happy to be on a choo-choo.

 We walked the few short blocks to Superior Dairy and met up with Jenn Jenn & Bubba (Jamo). Thankfully Jenn Jenn got in and got a table before hand because there were lots of others who had had the same idea as us so the place quickly filled up!

After a little lunch came the whole reason for the trip, the ice cream!! It did not disappoint! We shared a banana split between all of us and it was by far the biggest I had seen!

After we filled our bellies we lounged for a bit in the warmth of the sun (ok super hot sun!) until our train was ready to depart.

  This time Grammy suggested Wyatt cover his ears and the train arrival went much smoother 

 

He thought it was very cool he had a ticket with his name on it!
