It was a glorious day in the city and we took full advantage of the gardens and sites of Alcatraz- a few scares where we thought we would never escape but thankfully we all made it home...
an incredibly fun day - the flowers were in bloom, the birds were all nesting with their babies. Hard to imagine the life that was lived on "the rock".
Well, Jamison and I got thrown in the solitary cells and once we got out- Mom got thrown in! Then of course we had to walk all over the island, through the gorgeous gardens to the ferry dock and then it was as easy as waiting in line to get on the boat :) But it was almost the last boat leaving so there could have been a possibility of us getting stuck over night... well not really but fun to imagine :)
