It's all happening at the zoo.....

What to do after Christmas when then sun is shining. Go to the Oakland Zoo.
The Oakland zoo is not the zoo I remember. They have done lots of work to make it more animal habitat friendly.
The zoo is located on the side of the Oakland hills and the day was beautiful. The views across the bay were spectacular. The animals were out enjoying the sunshine also. Monkeys swinging in the trees, giraffes drinking water, sheep needing brushed and if you need to warm up head to the lizard & snake grotto.
What I do remember are the rides. The train that all the Schneider kids rode is still the same and Wyatt loved it. Driving cars was the highlight though. Wyatt drove a blue car, a green car and a fire engine. Even company did not deter him. His driving was perfect. The merry-go-round though is something to be avoided by those predisposed to vertigo.
