This past weekend I got to ride in an amazing dressage clinic hosted by the California Dressage Society- I was hand selected for my region and rode with 12 other gals from their respective chapters. The clinic was supposed to be taught by a gentleman named Jan Ebeling but he was in the Netherlands riding in the Equestrian World Cup. If you read ABCNews you may have seen his name a lot this week since he is riding Romney's wife's horse in the world cup competition :)
A lovely trainer from the bay area came to take his place- Rachel Saavedra, who is a lot less intense so it was a lovely relaxed clinic for all of us amateurs. The clinic was held at Golden Hills Farm in Paso Robles, where I will one day live- it was a gorgeous facility.
Here are some photos of me and my 4-legged man. Jamison came along with me as a groom (even though he is not allowed to touch hay or horses due to allergies) and he was FANTASTIC- so helpful and my resident photographer. He kept me focused and calm all weekend- especially through the crazy armageddon weather we had to haul through to get to the barn in Paso Robles.
He also changed our radiator hose that was leaking like a sieve. Thank goodness for him because we would not have made it home safely hauling the trailer... Thank you mom & dad for the big beige beast to haul me and the horse around!
warming up...
yes- my boy is an amazing mover!
