Jamo and I went to Jessica's for some holiday cheer and went hiking with some of my co workers the next morning. It was a crazy experience because the fog was so high- we hiked to the top ridge behind Jessica's house (one of my co workers lives down the street) and couldn't see anything! Apparently when there is no fog you can see down the valley and out a ways for miles- but it was still a great hike seeing things in a totally unusual light. After our hike we went back to Creed and Jessica's and saw Santa and his reindeer!

A Beacon

Tonight Tom came home and told me I had to come see the beacon. We got in the car and drove up the hill across from our canyon. On top of Mount Diablo a beacon was on and circling its light across the valley. December 7...Pearl Harbor Day. A beacon is lit and shines only on December 7th to remember all that lost their lives that day.
I know they do this every year but tonight we saw it and we remembered to honor those lives lost.
